*The LIFE of a tire is considered over (worn out) when two or more adjacent tread grooves are worn down to 2/32nd of an inch or less.

TIRE WORLD’S OPTIONAL TIRE WARRANTY

Tire World offers an extended warranty at the time of a tire purchase. If the tire is damaged due to a road hazard and can be safely repaired, the tire will be repaired at no charge at any local Tire World facility. If a tire becomes unserviceable because of a road hazard during the usable tread life of the tire, it will be replaced with a new tire*. If available, an exact make/model replacement will be installed. If not available, a comparable quality tire will be installed.

• When the tire failure occurs in the first 25% of usable tread wear, and if, in Tire World’s opinion, the tire cannot be safely repaired, the tire will be replaced, with coverage of up to 100% of the original selling price of the tire.


• After the first 25% of tread wear, there will be a charge for the consumed, useable tread wear on the original tire times the original selling price of the tire. The customer will be responsible for tax, scrap fee and the purchase of (1) new warranty. Tire World will balance the new tire at no charge.


• If the tread is worn down to 2/32nd’s (to the tread wear indicators), the tire is considered worn out and is not eligible for adjustment.

Warranty must be purchased on every new tire in order for the warranty to stay in effect

MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY

New tires purchased from Tire World are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and material for the life of the original tread design without limit as to time or mileage. Defects in workmanship adjustments under this guarantee will be replaced on a pro-rata basis as explained herein.

This guarantee is limited to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Any tires with defaced or obliterated Serial Numbers are also excepted from any portion of the guarantee.

These guarantees do not cover consequential damages and are in lieu of all other guarantees, expressed, implied or statutory.

DOT REGULATIONS

The Department of Transportation regulations prohibit highway use of passenger tires when 2-32nd, or less, tread design remains. Therefore percent of wear for adjustment purposes will be on the basis that a passenger tire has delivered the full original equipment tread life when 2-32nd of the original tread depth remains.

Upon return of such tire, if our examination shows that the tire is eligible for adjustment, we will at our option either repair it or make an allowance on a new tire under terms of this guarantee. Allowance on workmanship defects to be prorated on tread design wear and based on the adjustment price for replacement tire at time of adjustment. The adjustment price is intended to, but may not, represent approximate current average selling price. This price may change without notice.

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

The following vehicles are not eligible for coverage: Vehicles with a manufacturer’s load rating capacity of 1 ton or greater or a GVWR of greater than 8850 lbs. Any emergency service vehicle, any vehicle used for hire, towing, construction or postal service. Any vehicle used for farm, ranch, agricultural, or off-road service.

Coverage excludes damage from off-road use (off-road use is defined as driving on anything other than a paved or gravel road maintained by state or local authority). Coverage excludes damage from collision, fire, vandalism, theft, snow chains, manufacturer’s defects, abuse and neglect (i.e., improper application, improper inflation, brake lock up, wheel spinning, torque snags, etc.). Also excluded are damages resulting from mechanical failures (i.e., failed shocks, struts, alignment, etc.) or interference with vehicle components (i.e., fenders, exhaust, springs, etc). Also excluded are any tires that have been re-treaded, recapped, re-grooved, remolded, tubed or repaired in a manner other than per manufacturer’s guidelines.

This plan covers only the tires registered to the customer and listed by DOT number on the original invoice.

CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARE EXCLUDED
